Bandung Trip Sept 2013 - POP Hotel Bandung Festival CT Link

Third visit to Bandung a bit longer than previous trip as we want to visit and shopping as much as we can. My favorite was cloths and t-shirt. it is easy to find cloths n shirt that longer and bigger with the cheapest price. Some shirt that i bought in MALAYSIA at RM 39-49 sold here just around RM 18-25. Cheap rite?. Some more, in term of fashion and design they are more advance. I used to bought cloth from Bandung and a year later it became trend in Malaysia.

Last time we just chose budget hotel but this time we choose a better hotel.we love to try and experience new hotel. Our flight to Bandung depart from Malaysia at 10:55 pm and arrived 2 hours later n Bandung which is midnight @11:55. As far as I remember, i took abut 2 and half an hour to get to Bandung but now just two hours flight.

 Festival City Link Mall. Pop Hotel attached to this mall and located on the back side of this mall.

We will be staying at Pop Hotel Festival City Link this time. The hotel is connected with the Festival City Link and Lotte Mall, so if we are bored we can go to the mall.  As soon as flight arrived in Bandung we went out and get a car to the hotel. Since this is not our first time, we just took a car offered by a freelance driver . The airport change a lot. On 2010, we an see lot of taxi  and freelance driver car owner waiting outside the arrival hall with their offer. We know that it is midnight there, so decided not too fussy about the transport. We just accept an offer from a free lancer driver. He drive Toyota Avanza. At the beginning, he ,mentioned the rate will be IDR 70 000 but in the plane i did chat with a passenger who always visit Bandung and she told that the rate during day time maybe around 40000. So we asked for lower rate and managed to get IDR 50,000 . Only on the way out we noticed a lot o taxi waiting outside. The taxi fare from airport to hotel or from Pop hotel to airport will be the same IDR 50000. It took 30 minutes drive from airport to hotel.

Lobby and breakfast area. 3 desktop pc with internet connection available in the lobby for those who want to surf internet. Free wiFi connection in the hotel lobby and rooms.

 

The room rates comes without breakfast (check here for the latest room rates : Pop Hotel Bandung @Agoda.com). However, hotel did provide complimentary local breakfast for the guest. Breakfast available at the lobby from  07:00 am to 9:30 am daily which normally  the menu like Nasi Uduk /Nasi Liwet/Nasi Kuning just one of this menu with Tea or Coffee. Fair enough rite, its free. Its up to you.But it nice to just sit here while having our coffee in the morning. As for me, I bought a bread from  Breadtalk outlet in the Mall. Enjoy to have bread with coffee than the rice.

 In my booking I did make a special request for Twin Bed. Since its midnight and we are too tired, we just checked in and then found that its a queen bed. We asked to change to a room with a twin bed and the hotel sfaff helpful enough to transferred our things to the new rooms.

 The capsule Shower  with hot water. Clean and comfortable enough.

 

We really enjoy our stay here.Taxi available in front of the mall 24 hours. If we get bored, we can get into the Festival Link City Mall or shopping and dine in there.Easy access for public transport.
