Beware of scammers!!!
Nowadays, almost everybody needs online social site such as Facebook , Twitter, Tagged etc. It gave us chances to meet new friends and also find old friends. Me myself managed to gather with my schoolmate which lost contact since last 15 years in Facebook. BUT, what we don't realize is, we at the same time exposed our self to scammers!.
As for me, i don't simply add new friend without checking their Facebook Page. But sometimes, i just add friends just to share gift for online games. Maybe this open a door to scammer to approach me.
This happened yesterday, I know this guy thru Facebook since last 2 weeks. He message me and introduced himself. Claimed that he is a Purchasing Manager of Shell in Dartford, UK. He wanted to know more about Malaysia since he and his lawyer were doing feasibility study because he planned to open a branch in Malaysia.
As usual, I accept all friendship with and open heart. Sharing info.He was very open about himself. he told that he is a single father with 1 son and his wife died in a car accident ( I never ask all this...). There are few things that make him uncomfortable we me.
1. I asked , why he don't have friends on FB. He said, he got few friends but hide them to avoid blackmailing post. In his country they use it to blackmail people like him (due to his position / work ) .
2. He said he got a son but always mention "she" instead of "he". Make me curios. When i try to clarify he kind of upset. :))
3. Why he never post anything on his wall?. He get mad and said not everybody have time to post on FB .
Let me continue with the my story... Ok. I got nothing to lose. Just need to be more careful if he is a scammer. After 2 week he said that his son going to be 5th this Sunday. He ask for my address for him to send the birthday card. So i just gave him my office address. Then last friday he told that he already send me the card and other GIFTs. ( The moment i read other gift I know that he is a scammer.) Nobody easily send gift to a friend which they only knew for 2 weeks. that time i remember what happen to my best friend last few years. My best friend told me that her friend from UK sent her gifts. then a girl claim from shipping company call her asked her to pay for shipping charge/tax etc which more worth than RM 1k. That time I told her that this i just a scam technique. But never thought that it will happen to me now.
Back to my story. He gave me the website and the tracking ID for me to track the gift. When i checked, OMG, the list of the gifts confirmed that HE IS A SCAMMER. Im not a materialistic girl and do not accept gift without a reason. After he gave me the tracking ID, he keep asking me whether I track it or not. But when I said later, He kind of upset and said that I'm not interested and never show sign of gratitute since he sent it ( hellooooo.. I dont even ask for it. OK). Even though I know that he is a scammer, i just try to be calm. 3 days after that the gift schedule to reach in Malaysia . Early morning I got a phone call from a girl called "siti " ( huh.. Siti but her voice like an indian women).
As expected, she said that the gift arrived at their store and asked whether I'll be available at the office at 4 pm for them to send the gift. Then She started to mention about the cost that I have to pay and also highlight that the payment can only be made thru Online banking or ATM deposit machine ( lol.... idiot).
The I said to her slowly " Ok Siti, can you gave me your store address? "... She sound nervous from the beginning but now sound upset " You can check in your email that we send to u ""..... huh... i never gave them my email.. not even to the sender. " Ok. I know this is another scam techique. But nevermind, just send me the bank acc. no. I will check with my friend which is a police officer later on. "
Been waiting but she never send the bank account number. The guy pm me yesterday afternoon ask me about the gift.
I dont want to scold them. Just try to be nice with them. Coz i want them to feel guilty instead of angry with me. hahahaha.
Below are few clear evidence to prove them a scammer.
1. He claimed that he is 35 but what i found is different.
2) The list of gifts itself is unbelievable.
3. A well know shipping company but cant spell the word right. Gloabl instead of GLOBAL.
4. The Store address .
5. The women call with this number +6010-2624373. if the call from shipping company. They should use land line/fixed line not mobile phone number right?.
And this is the scammer number if any of you mind to check +447999852694 .
His facebook have a photo of him and his son. Unfortunately I forgot to make a screen shot before he delete his fb account. But I believe, that is not his photo. For those girl outside, please beware of this kind of scam technique. You can even hear the warning in radio everyday.

- the shipping company can only update u if something went wrong through the process of delivering but they don't have to charge u because i have already paid them for thipping
- they only made to deliver to ur door step and update u for any reason

ReplyDeletei was looking for info abt the number 447999852694. met this man online in dating website. i was so silly to give him my hp# he called me uaing thia number but he dun sound british at all. im going to ignore him from now on.
