Burnt sugar apam ? (Apam Gula Hangus )
Burnt sugar apam? Funny... :)) I'm alone today.... get bored and have nothing to do, so i surfed the website and look for new recepies which are simple and easy to try.... finally, i found one... in malay, it is known as Apam Gula Hangus but when translated to english, it's called as Burnt Sugar Apam... funny :)) Does anyone know the correct name of this Apam in english? :))

Here is the recipe. ;))
Ingredients ( for whole family )* 2 eggs
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 cup water
* 1/2 cup cooking oil
* 2 tablespoon margerine
* 2 tablespoon sweetened creamer
* 1 tablespoon bicarbonate soda
* 1 1/2 cup flour
Directions:
1. Heat sugar (without water) until the sugar melt in brown color. After that add 1 cup of water. Wait till it cools.
2. Mix eggs, milk, oil and margarine in the blender and blend them together for about 3 minutes.
3. Then add melt sugar and bicarbonate sugar into the blender and blend it again.
4. Finally add flour and blend again.
5. Steam the ingredient in a tray brushed with oil for 45 minutes.
Malay Version :
Bahan-bahan ( untuk sekeluarga. )
- 2 biji telur
- 1 cawan gula pasir
- 1 cawan air
- 1/2 cawan minyak masak
- 2 sudu besar marjerin
- 2 sudu susu pekat
- 1 sudu teh soda bikarbonat.
- 1 1/2 cawan tepung gandum.
- Gula dihanguskan kemudian dicampurkan dengan air.kemudian sejukkan
- Didalam blender masukkan telur,susu,minyak dan marjerin kisarkan anggaran 3 minit
- Masukkan gula yang telah disejukkan tadi bersama-sama soda bikarbonat dan dikisarkan lagi.
- Akhir sekali masukkan tepung dan dikisar lagi sehingga sebati.
- Kukus adunan tadi di dalam loyang yang telah disapu dengan minyak masak selama 45 minit.
- Boleh juga menggunakan acuan mangkuk plastik.
- Sekiranya adunan nampak cair bolehlah ditambah sedikit tepung agar apam tadi tidak mendap dan basah dibahagian bawahnya.
;)) Look like sponge cake. Serve with hot tea =P~=P~
